Business/ Department Objectives: Risk and Control at Chennai CSC 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Central governance teams to obtain clarifications on documentation/Citi Internal policies and ensure appropriate approvals are in place and are well documented
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed and approvals from central governance teams are in place prior to migration
  • Adherence to periodic internal submissions to governance team
  • Ensure all required policies & procedures for existing and new products / processes / migrations are properly implemented within the business
  • Ensure of identification & reporting of Operational risk events to BRCC
  • To address Operational deficiencies, to put in corrective action plan for issues identified and share the root cause analysis with the business
  • Ensuring and build a strong process of capturing & tracking control exceptions and share the trend analysis
  • Ensure compliances to SEZ & DOT regulations

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the migration team to ensure all migrations related documents are in place prior to go live
  • Ensure Cross border approvals are in place and as applicable
  • Review and support the Clients to complete the standard documentation requirements
  • Ensure that all annexures are filled in with relevant information
  • Inputs to BRCC and review of ageing items / new inclusions
  • Support business for performing self- assessments on time
  • Updates on Operational loss along with implement process changes and additional controls to avoid re-occurrence
  • EUC reviews and control aspects prior to installation and change management & work with the BISO on IS related aspects
  • Governance – interaction with Site leadership team including corporate / technology functions to discuss issues / BAU status and review on Citi Policy adherence 
  • Ensure Audit readiness and client ‘ compliance requirements
  • Regular stakeholder meetings with Customers and Central team

Key Deliverables:

  • Perform detailed analysis of the business partners and associated operations processes during migration and ensure appropriate documentation is available
  • Analyze flows and determine ‘best practices’ based on previous risk experience/knowledge, efficiencies and internal audit/compliance requirements
  • Where possible – ensure consistency across all countries
  • Proactively engage with businesses to assess their risk and control environments
  • Work closely with the businesses and function heads to reduce operational losses and frequency of events
  • Work with the businesses, regional management and ERM when operational losses/events arise to understand the root causes and implement process changes to avoid re-occurrence
  • Responsible for the annual renewal of documents as applicable

Qualifications
 Education:
  • Graduate/post graduate (Required), MBA / Professional Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
  • A minimum of 10~12 years direct experience in an operations units. Must have experience / knowledge across most of the banking products and operations activities related to the transactions
  • Should have handled a Risk and Control function for a minimum of 2-3 years
  • Exposure to handle both internal and external auditors
  • Highly Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Enthusiastic team player, willing to work with colleagues towards a common goal; self-starter with the ability to take decisive action
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Preferably with work experience within a multinational organization working with colleagues throughout Asia Pacific
Skills:
  • Good communications and written skills
  • Good at documentation & preparing presentations
  • Ability to engage clients
