As the Roster Support Officer (IWFM) you will provide quality rostering support services within a diverse multidisciplinary environment, working collaboratively with Payroll Transactional Services (PTS), management and staff across assigned Gold Coast Health and Hospital Service (GCHHS) business areas to deliver fair, equitable and compliant rosters.

You will take responsibility for

  • Provide rostering support to Team Leaders, senior management and support staff on the build, compliance, resource allocation and audit requirements for rosters within assigned business areas in accordance with awards, EBA's, HHS rostering policies and procedures, local work instructions and best practice initiatives
  • Undertake rostering services for assigned business areas, providing information, advice and service support on establishment management, roster build, compliance, audit requirement and technical support activities to ensure fair, equitable and compliant rosters are developed
  • Provide quality establishment management and support services, including employee leave verification, create and verify employee movement requests, check recurring allowances, and provide technical system support to business areas
  • Identify rostering and payroll issues to ensure the accurate finalisation and evaluation of the published roster, including investigating and correcting staff pay issues, backfilling of emergent leave requirements, cost effects of shift swapping and identifying potential fatigue risks
  • Maintain communication and working relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring quality rostering services and information is provided, collaborating to support service improvements, communicating change and publishing roster workforce allocation to meet service delivery requirements

Requirements for the role

  • Well-developed IT skills are highly desirable
  • IWFM experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge or experience in SAP HR would be highly desirable
  • Experience in rostering is highly desirable
  • Experience of Payroll Services' processes is highly desirable
  • Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification would be desirable
