 The Opportunity
The Occupational Therapy Clinical Talent Pool is used to fill casual, short term and longer term temporary vacancies for HP3 Occupational Therapist across Townsville Hospital and Health Service. 

Occupational Therapists have the opportunity to work in a variety of caseloads including Medical, Surgical, Palliative Care, Oncology, Paediatrics, Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute and Pain Management Service delivering base level Occupational Therapy clinical services within a specific work unit. Occupational Therapists work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

The role is required to provide effective and efficient Occupational Therapy interventions for patients in accordance with the goals, policies and requirements of the Occupational Therapy service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Role requirements  

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • Participation will be required in the department's weekend service on a rostered basis.┬á
  • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD's Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.┬á

    • ┬á$2941.70┬á- $4459.00 p.f. (full-time)
    • $38.70 - $58.67 p.h. (part-time)
    • $47.60 - $72.16 p.h. (casual)
