Alberta Health Services, Edmonton Zone Department of Addiction &#CD# Mental Health in partnership with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine &#CD# Dentistry, Department of Psychiatry, is inviting applications from CanREACH trained physicians to work in the Learning and Development Clinic.  Our multi-disciplinary teams consisting of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, and speech language pathology provide assistance for more than 1.4 million people in Edmonton Metropolitan Region.

The Family Physician or Pediatrician, with CanREACH training (i.e. additional mental health training to work with children and youth), will provide help with the ADHD pathway being developed by the L & D Clinic. This physician will work with psychiatrists, therapists, pediatricians, nurses, psychologists social workers and other allied health professionals on our teams at the Learning and Development Clinic.

Remuneration will be based on fee-for-service billings submitted to Alberta Health.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Candidates will preferrably be  a CanREACH trained Family Physician or Pediatrician or a Pediatrician with substantial expertise and experience working with children and youth with mental health issues. S/he must also be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
