Exciting Opportunity: Clinical Director - Emergency Department
Our client seeks an experienced consultant to take the helm as Clinical Director of the Emergency Department. We are looking for an individual with a strong drive and extensive background in Emergency Medicine. The role calls for exceptional strategic leadership and guidance, focusing on optimizing resource utilization, integrating services, and maintaining the highest standards of service delivery in alignment with hospital policies, service standards, and financial targets. This is a fixed-term, full-time contract spanning three years, with a workload of 76 hours per fortnight. The compensation package is highly competitive, inclusive of ongoing annual allowances, initial accommodation, and relocation support.
Hospital Overview: Serving a population of approximately 116,000, our service operates across two major sites situated approximately 50km apart. The Emergency Departments handle an estimated 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient demographic. One site serves as the regional trauma center, boasting a 25% admission rate, while the other functions as a sub-acute hospital with limited services and a 15% admission rate. Our ED has been accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 24 months of training, with an application for year 4 training currently under review.

Possess specialist registration with AHPRA/FACEM and a minimum of 12 months recent experience.
Be IMGs eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway from the UK, Ireland, Canada, or USA.
