Normal work routine does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.ResponsibilitySummary:Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.Essential Job Functions:(Maximum of the first 5 will be included in the performance appraisal)Assures completion of MDS in accordance with regulatory requirements including: interpreting new standards, scheduling and communicating schedule to IDC team, attending care plan meetings as needed, assuring completion of all MDS's, completing MDS as assigned , assuring completion of CAAs, and submission of MDS data per regulation. Monitoring and interpreting Quality Measures.Effectively coordinates reimbursement activities for the facility including: makes reimbursement decisions, completes denial protocol, and maintains records. Acts as a liaison between Nursing, Therapy, and Resident Accounts. Provides documentation oversight and assuring compliance including: reimbursement guidelines requirements, identifying documentation needs and reviews with the Nurse Manager/DON, and provides in servicing as appropriate. Submission of MDS census data collection for Medicaid reimbursement.
