About us:

The pharmacy team provides dispensing and clinical pharmacy services to all areas of the hospital. The Cancer Care pharmacist works closely with the Cancer Care Service Team to provide outpatient chemotherapy to oncology and haematology patients in the Oncology Day Unit.

About the role:

This position will function as part of a team and is responsible for the provision high level client focussed pharmacy services to patients in the cancer care service of Gladstone Hospital.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have possession of a degree in Pharmacy is mandatory for this position. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).

  • Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy position, preferably in cancer care and a demonstrated ability to apply evidence in a practical manner to achieve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with electronic information management systems and to develop practice and system improvements to improve quality, safety and efficiency in delivering healthcare.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and maintain relationships with senior health professionals and other stakeholders.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $124,435 - $133,901 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
