About us:

CQMHAODS provides specialist mental health, substance, and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda and Central Highlands districts and adult patients of the Central West Hospital and Health Service (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000).

About the role:

  • Take part in scheduled clinics or inpatient activities across the service clinical teams, attend and contribute at all case reviews, ward rounds and intake meetings. Provide timely and appropriate medical inputs to the multidisciplinary team processes.
  • Participate in the afterhours on-call roster with other Registrars / Principal House Officers.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of processes to manage the demand for services, e.g., prioritisation, referral to external agencies, exit planning, group education programs.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory qualification/s:
    • MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
    • If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, the candidate must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with Level 3 supervision and provide the following:
      • Evidence of successful completion of AHPRA recognised English Language test results within the last year.
      • Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination (if registering via the Standard Pathway).
      • Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $169,083 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $125,808 - $138,571 p.a. (L4 – L7)
  • A salary between $125,808 - $145,865 p.a. (L4 – L9)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
