Job Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes.Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during, and after surgical intervention.Position title; Surgical Tech Reporting structure; New hire > Charge > Shift Coordinator > Manager > DirectorTypes of diagnoses and patients cared for in the unit; Complex cardiovascular conditions: CABG, Dissections, Cardiogenic Shock, Heart & Lung Transplants, Valve Replacements, Ventricular Assist Device Insertions, Complex TAVR; Artificial Heart Transplantation; Device/Assessment management: ECMO, Impella, Balloon pump, Vasopressor management & titration, Rapid Transfusion, Open chest defibrillation. Work hours and on-call hours required; 12, 10, or 9-hour shifts, days/evenings with on-callNumber of beds in unit/unit size; 4 CVOR first starts/2-3 cases per day to follow/planned expansion to 5th Flip room.
