Our Client is looking to recruit Emergency Medicine Trainees and/or Registrar/ Senior Registrar. They are ideally looking for Advanced Trainees to enhance our existing Trainee group, but we are willing to discuss positions with any currently registered Trainee who may be looking for a lifestyle change, combined with the ability to continue their training.
This hospital is a busy regional centre that services a population of 80,000 and our Emergency Department receives an interesting and diverse case mix, treating ~ 35,000 patients per annum (20% paediatric) with an admission rate of 16-20%. FACEM coverage is from 0830-2300 7 days per week. The department has 12 treatment bays, 3 fast track cubicles, 2 resuscitation bays and an 8 bed short stay unit.
Our Emergency Department is supported by surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics & gynaecology, psychiatric, anaesthetic and ICU services. We are a regional trauma centre and are well supported by Adult Retrieval Victoria.
· Currently staffed by 4 full-time FACEMs and have regular FACEM locums who provide additional clinical oversight. · Accredited for 6 months Advanced Training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, including paediatric log-book.
