The Facility:
This is a 228 bed acute and extended care facility which provides surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, intensive care and psychiatry services as well as extended care and regional services servicing a catchment population of around 90,000.

A high incidence of road accidents, skin cancer, farm injuries and work safety accidents occur in the region. Population numbers swell during the fruit harvest season when an estimated 10,000 itinerant workers from throughout Australia and overseas visit the region. Snake bites, cuts, scratches to the eyes from branches, injuries caused by falling from a fruit picking ladder and allergic reactions are among the most common conditions treated during the this period.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an Emergency Physician / Emergency Senior Medical Officer In Charge to join their team and to be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day clinical operation of the Emergency Department. The role includes direct clinical care as part of the senior staffing roster. Working closely with the Clinical Director of Emergency Services (CDES), Operational Directors, and other senior clinical staff to ensure the Emergency Department achieves key organisational performance measures, develops and maintains effective working relationships within the Hospital, the region, with other service providers, key stakeholders, consumer organisation and the community.
 
 The Requirements

·         ACEM training program.
·         IMGs assessed by ACEM and deemed Substantially Comparable.
·         News Zealand trained consultant FACEM or IMG with 10+ years experience via STT pathway
