The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).What you will do in this role: Administers plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.Develops goals, policies, and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, and consults with staff, physicians, and other departments as needed.Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis. Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behaviorWhat qualifications you will need: Florida RN licensure requiredAssociate degree required, Bachelors Degree preferredA minimum of one (1) year of management experience is preferredAdvanced Cardiac Life Spt or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of the employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start datePALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of the employment start dateThis role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).238-bed hospital that has been in the area for 40+ yearsThey are the only delivery facility (like delivering babies) in Bay County so they have a very robust Women/Children Service Line (Pediatric ER, Level III NICU, PICU)The hospital has been through a LOT of change in the last 6 months or so (New CNO, ACNO, COO, and CEO) things seem to be getting a little better I mention this because we need someone who is not afraid of change, has tougher skin, wants to promote positive change, etc.44 bed ERReports to a Director, there are 2 Manager positions, then overseeing a team of about 70-80 (Clinical Nurse Coordinators/Assistant Nurse Managers, RNs, LPNs, Paramedics, and Unit Secretaries)1 Manager will work days (8 am-5 pm or earlier) and the other evenings (3 pm-11 pm or later) but a normal Monday-Friday schedule with 24/7 accountability/on-callSalary Ranging from about $85-105K willing to negotiate up to $110-115K base salary for the right candidateRelocation about $10,000 for out-of-state candidatesMust have an associate degree in Nursing, 3+ years of clinical hospital experience, and at least 1-2+ years of leadership experience ideally Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager candidates (will consider Supervisor/Charge RN but they must be strong on phone interviews)
