About us:

Physiotherapy involves a holistic approach to the prevention, assessment and therapeutic management disorders of movement or optimisation of function to enhance the health and welfare of the community. Central Queensland (CQ) Health offers a comprehensive physiotherapy service across the lifespan to support patients through their acute hospital admission, recovery following discharge or when accessing other specialist outpatient services. Our physiotherapists work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

  • Provide clinical leadership and deliver specialist level acute physiotherapy care inclusive of Intensive Care, Coronary Care, General Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, Respiratory, Cancer Care and Acute Paediatric services.
  • Contribute to the advancement of quality physiotherapy services and optimal patient care through provision of clinical services, clinical leadership for service development, quality improvement, clinical education and research activities.
  • The Physiotherapist Advanced – Clinical Lead (Acute) reports operationally and professionally to the Director Physiotherapy.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Possession of a recognised degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge and skills in acute care physiotherapy, with ability to work across the adult and paediatric spectrum.
  • High-level interpersonal skills, evidenced through an ability to negotiate, manage conflict, consult effectively with key stakeholders and provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and service improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, and to initiate, plan and evaluate services.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $13,966 p.m. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $5,395.60 - $5,630.00 p.f.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
