About the Role

  • The role includes strategic long-term planning for MSHHS as a healthcare provider and portfolio manager, examining opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies of practice while contributing to the delivery of complex clinical environments incorporating state of the art healthcare technology in new and live facilities.
  • This position is responsible for engineering advice on all aspects of development and construction relating to each of the MSHHS campuses, including but not limited to refurbishment of existing clinical space, new build development, major infrastructure upgrades, disaster management and resilience and redundancy planning. 
  • Develop effective relationships with peers and external professional associations across industry, including representation of Metro South Hospital and Health Service on relevant and significant committees, to maintain and improve knowledge of emergent trends, developments and legislation and assess impacts for Metro South Health assets and infrastructure.
  • Assist with delivery of construction projects the position will co-ordinate with the site-based maintenance teams advising on engineering aspects of the day to day running of the health facilities and advising on items such as resilience, replacement and renewal strategy, monitoring and control as well as quality assurance and reporting.
