The Role
In this role, you will deliver direct clinical services, ensuring optimal patient care for individuals dealing with Urological issues, encompassing both elective and emergent Urological surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will extend to offering information, support, education, and training for the prevention and treatment of Urological injuries. Additionally, you will contribute your medical expertise to the development of a comprehensive range of health services, aimed at minimizing and preventing the occurrence of Urological-related injuries.

The Facility
This facility, with a capacity of 320 beds, serves as the primary referral center for the region. It delivers public health and hospital services to a population of around 265,000 people, with an anticipated growth to over 360,000 in the next two decades. Covering a diverse demographic, the Hospital and Health Service spans major provincial and small rural community settings across the extensive 90,000 square kilometers it serves. Playing a significant teaching role, the facility provides valuable undergraduate and postgraduate clinical experience. The current workforce of the Hospital and Health Service comprises over 6,000 staff members.
Remuneration
You may be offered a competitive remuneration package valued at up to $448,311 (Level 27) comprising of:
- Motor vehicle allowance
- Professional development allowance
- 3.6 weeks of professional development leave per annum
- regional attraction allowance
- professional indemnity cover, and private practice arrangements.
- Additionally, superannuation (up to 12.75%)
- annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied on top of the total remuneration value.
- If you are relocating from Interstate or International jurisdictions, you may be eligible for an incentive payment of up to $20,000 under the Workforce Attraction Incentive scheme.
The Requirements
- A Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with appropriate Advanced Specialist Training in Urological surgery.
- Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist Urologist.
- Must participate in an on-call roster.
- Must hold a Radiation Use Licence, issued by Radiation Health in Queensland.
