The Role
Our client is seeking applications for the 2024 unaccredited intake of O&G Registrars. This appointment is for 6 months and is ideally suited to a candidate with an interest in pursuing O&G as a specialty.  Offering exposure to a broad range of obstetrics and gynaecology including birth suite, antenatal clinic, early pregnancy assessment, gynaecology clinic and theatre.  There are opportunities to develop skills in caesarean section, instrumental birth and gynaecological procedures such as hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and open surgery.   You will be required to participate in a rotating 24/7 roster over a range of shifts.

The location is approximately 1.5hr East of Melbourne, classified as the broader area of Melbourne metropolitan area.  The town is accessible by road and is connected to Melbourne via the Princes Highway. Public transportation options, including buses and trains, facilitate connectivity to nearby areas. The town serves as a commercial and retail center for the surrounding region, offering a range of shopping facilities, services, and amenities. It provides cultural and recreational facilities, including community centers, parks, and sports amenities, contributing to the overall quality of life for residents.
 
The Hospital
The facility is a part of a Healthcare group, and provides acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, community and aged care services.  Their history dates back to 1888, as a community established hospital to service the areas between Melbourne and Sale. The service catchment population is approximately 52,500.
