The Role Seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine,. Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Staff Specialist provides specialist emergency medical care to patients spanning two Emergency Departments. The Emergency Departments have approximately 30,000pa with a broad case mix.
The ED is accredited by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for
12 months advanced training in Emergency Medicine which is increasing to 24 months.
The second location Emergency Department is accredited for emergency medicine certificate and diploma courses.

The Hospital Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health has two major sites located approximately 50km apart. As part of the state wide health service you will be located in this modern 160 bed facility providing high quality health care to the local region. The hospital also offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments. The hospital has a strong relationship with the University of Tasmania's Rural Clinical School, and the secondary care facilities are both associated teaching hospitals with contemporary teaching environments.
