About us:

The Rockhampton Specialist Palliative Care Service provides high quality specialist palliative care to patients residing in the Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan districts.  The service provides inpatient, community and consultative care.  The Service works closely with SPARTA (Rural Telehealth Service) which provides services to the Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana districts.

About the role:

The Registrar will be required to work across all areas of Palliative care under the supervision of the Palliative Care Consultant.  The role will provide support to the multidisciplinary palliative care team.  The Registrar will be involved in education and training, continuous quality improvement and potential research.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Mandatory Requirements: MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision.
  • If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, the candidate must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with the appropriate supervision level and provide the following:
    • Evidence of successful completion of approved English Language test results within the last year.
    • Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination.
    • Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references.

Total remuneration value of up to $169,083 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $125,808 - $145,865 p.a. (L4 – L9)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
