The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Medicine in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a position to be based at the University of Alberta Hospital. The Division of Pulmonary Medicine provides a wide range of quaternary and tertiary clinical services in Pulmonary Medicine andAllergy and is home to the second largest lung transplant program in Canada averaging 60-80 transplants annually. In 2017, theCenter for World University Rankings ranked the University of Alberta’s Transplant Program #6 worldwide. Divisional members are active in the international research community in most fields of Pulmonary Medicine (https://www.ualberta.ca/department-of-medicine/divisions/pulmonary-medicine/publications).

Key accountabilities of the Respirology Clinical AMHSP will include but will not be limited to participating in the Lung Transplant Program’s clinical roster (including inpatient ward, outpatient clinics, consultation, and bronchoscopy services). Other responsibilities with include undergraduate and post graduate medical education and supporting clinical research/innovation within the division.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
