Job SummaryAs a highly skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse, you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. In this role: You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the Cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neurodiagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. Manages emergent cases.You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible and organized and function well under stressful situationsYou will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient as needed.QualificationsCurrent nursing license in good standingAssociate degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferredTwo to three years of Cath Lab experience. Emergency Room / ICU experience preferred.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and CertificationAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)Shift times: 7a 7:30p (12 hr shifts)Must have experience RN and AK lic required3yr exp Cath or 5 years exp in high acuity setting (eg. ICU,Exp Circulating, Monitoring, and Sedation medication (exp mixing sedation drips)No mapping exp needed (performed by 3rd party company)Unit Beds/ rooms: 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per dayAdditional InformationCompensation: Salary range from $38.79- $42.68 (0-5 yrs.)-$43.95- $49.25 (6- 10yrs)-$49.25- $53.68 (10-15 yrs.)- $53.68- $56.74 (15-20 yrs.
