About us:

Our Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment.

About the role:

  • Deliver a high standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing/midwifery ability, critical care skills and those skills relevant to the Medical Interim Care Unit.
  • The purpose of the role of RN for CQHHS is to supply holistic patient centred care and practice within an interdisciplinary team environment within Medical 1 Unit.
  • Respond appropriately to sudden alterations in the health status of the patient using comprehensive nursing assessment and intervention skills and escalate when needed.
  • Integrate organisational policies and guidelines with professional standards by maintaining current knowledge and participating in any relevant policy reviews.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and current annual practicing certificate.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills that support competent health care practice, delegation and supervision of Enrolled Nurses and Student Nurses.
  • Demonstrated ability to recognise and respond to the deteriorating patient within the unit.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of / and involvement in Quality management and research processes within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $117,580 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $40.51 - $51.97 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
