Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses seeking employment opportunities in the Mental Health and Specialised Services unit.

As a casual employee with the Mental Health and Specialised Services team, you could have the opportunity to work across the following areas:

  • Adult Acute Inpatient Unit;
  • Adolescent Acute Inpatient Unit;
  • Mental Health Older Persons Unit;
  • Mental Health Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Mental Health, and Specialised Service, (SCHHS-MHSS) operates within an integrated model of care that provides a range of mental health services across community and hospital settings.

Please complete the applicant questionnaire attached to this advertisement, along with the following documents;

  • Your current CV or resume, including the names and contact details of two referees. Referees should have a thorough knowledge of your capabilities, work performance and conduct within the previous two years, and it is preferable to include your current/immediate/past supervisor.
  • Cover letter.

Recruitment Process

By submitting your expression of interest, you could be contacted and invited to participate a recruitment process which includes assessment, interview and reference checks.  If successful, your application will remain in the talent pipeline for a period of up to 12 months, where you will be contacted as suitable employment opportunities arise, matching your skills and work location/availability. Please note: specific advertised vacancies within the SCHHS will still require you to submit your application to the relevant vacancy in order to be considered. 

Salary rates: $49.83- $63.92 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5) (casual positions). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
