About the role

As part of the Work Safety and Wellbeing team, you will work in alignment with the Health Service and relevant Service Lines/Programs, to achieve consistency of workplace health and safety strategies, service delivery arrangements and performance outcomes.

You will be responsible for assisting with the coordinating, planning and development of workplace health and safety resources, OVP training, data reporting and management, RiskMan, HSR presentations either locally or in cooperation with WM and relevant Service Lines/Program teams and networks.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated application of workplace health and safety legislative standards and guidelines relevant to a large complex organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of documents
  • Demonstrated experience in workplace health and safety auditing, investigation and problem solving and identifying risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client focused solutions on WSW issues.
  • Demonstrated sound interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by the ability to manage own workload, projects, facilitate work groups and networks, work in a multidisciplinary environment and maintain effective working relationships using high level written communication and report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated project and change management skills, methodologies, principles and practices and ability to undertake training, coaching, developing capability of staff and managers and evaluation which lead to business improvement outcomes; and
  • Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.

Mandatory Requirements:
