The Facility This is a 300-bed Tertiary Teaching Facility that provides acute care facilities and treats over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients annually. The busy Emergency Department has 43 treatment beds, with an annual presentation of over 45,000 patients and an admission rate of 35%. The accredited hospital has a close partnership with the University of Tasmania through the clinical school.
The Position A fantastic opportunity has become available to work in a high performing department joining a dedicated and cohesive team for a Staff Specialist role in Emergency Medicine.
Your role will be to work as a Specialist that is the main referral hospital for the region, resulting in high acuity and diverse clinical experiences. They deal with the full spectrum of emergency care with trauma and resuscitation a core component of the work along with the management of routine emergency/urgent patient presentations.
Requirements To apply for this role you should either
Hold the FACEM or have an equivalent qualification that has been assessed by the college
Current registration with AHRPA or eligibility.
