Job Description:To offer advice and consultation on service users psychological care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to promote appropriate psychological ways of working.To work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, taking on the responsibility within the team for psychological assessment of risk to self and others, psychological formulation and interventions.Providing and evaluating a range of psychological interventions (individual and group) for service users and families using a range of therapeutic approaches.To utilize a range of routine outcome measures to evaluate interventions for individual, group and family work.Participate in partnership working with individuals, groups, communities and agencies.Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, training and consultation to others across a wide range of agencies and settings where appropriate.Establish and maintain effective communication with various individuals and groups on complex and potentially stressful topics in a range of situations.Provide clinical supervision to junior psychological therapists.Provide reflective practice sessions for the Service.Contribute to planning, implementing and evaluating rehabilitation and recovery activity in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Staff Group.To contribute to team meetings and effective operation of the rehabilitation community team.Be familiar with the principals of child protection procedures and legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.Continue to develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.Promote best practice in health, safety and security.
