The Role
Unaccredited Postgraduate Fellow or Senior Registrar in Maternal Fetal Medicine.  This position is full-time appointment with an immediate start until February 2025.
  • Attend to rostered duties, which primarily sit within the Fetal Medicine Unit. Other duties may include care of patients on the Birthing Suite, inpatient ward areas, outpatient clinics and the operating theatre
  • Participate in on call duties or after hours MFM and/or O&G roster relevant to level
To be appointed as a Postgraduate Fellow you must have FRANZCOG and the ability to be rostered on the consultant on call roster including after hour duties and some weekends. You will be remunerated with an on call allowance in addition to your salary.

To be appointed as a Senior Registrar you must have complete the RANZCOG Integrated Training Program or equivalent training, and be able to participate on an after hours roster including overtime and weekends. You will be remunerated with overtime penalties.

The Facility 
A level 6 tertiary referral centre with around 3700 births, and a busy neonatal ICU and a regional role extending throughout southern NSW adding over 200 level 3 admission per year.

The facility will give you access to all the relevant multidisciplinary areas of MFM training such as
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Adult ICU
  • Pathology Department
  • Emergency Department
  • Operating theatre and genetics clinics
The Requirements
  • MBBS degree
  • Registered with AHPRA
  • Ability to balance training and education requirements with service provision.
  • Sufficient experience and availability to participate in the after-hours on-call O&G roster;
  • Sufficient experience to supervise junior medical staff independently;
  • Experience in fetal medicine units and proficiency of ultrasound will be preferred
