The Role Our Client is looking to recruit Emergency Medicine Trainees and/or Registrar. They are ideally looking for Advanced Trainees to enhance our existing Trainee group, but we are willing to discuss positions with any currently registered Trainee who may be looking for a lifestyle change, combined with the ability to continue their training.
The Hospital This hospital is a busy regional centre that services a population of 80,000 and our Emergency Department receives an interesting and diverse case mix, treating ~ 35,000 patients per annum (20% paediatric) with an admission rate of 16-20%. FACEM coverage is from 0830-2300 7 days per week. The department has 12 treatment bays, 3 fast track cubicles, 2 resuscitation bays and an 8 bed short stay unit.
The Department Our Emergency Department is supported by surgical, medical, paediatric, obstetrics & gynaecology, psychiatric, anaesthetic and ICU services. We are a regional trauma centre and are well supported by Adult Retrieval Victoria. · Currently staffed by 4 full-time FACEMs and have regular FACEM locums who provide additional clinical oversight. · Accredited for 6 months Advanced Training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, including paediatric log-book.
