The Department:
Our hospital boasts a bustling Emergency Department (ED) with approximately 18,000 presentations annually, featuring a 25% admission rate and 25% pediatric presentations. Under the leadership of our FACEM Director, our ED team comprises dynamic CMOs who foster an active, stimulating, and supportive work environment. Recently renovated in 2018, our state-of-the-art Emergency Department is part of the hospital's comprehensive redevelopment, which includes a new medical ward, operating theaters, and High Dependency Unit (HDU). Serving as the Rural Referral Hospital for the Tableland region, we are committed to delivering high-quality care to our community.

The Hospital:
Our hospital, boasting ninety-nine beds, offers a comprehensive range of services, including acute medical and surgical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, and various diagnostic and allied health services. Equipped with a busy emergency department, a Level 3 Close Observation Unit, mental health unit, and renal dialysis unit, we cater to a referral community of 55,200. Our medical services cover respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal, and palliative care, while surgical offerings include general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, and ophthalmologic services. Recently modernized in 2019, our spacious and well-equipped facility is home to the Tablelands Clinical School, part of the UON and UNE Joint Medical Program. Here, medical students benefit from clinical placements and cutting-edge teaching facilities, including simulation laboratories and tutorial rooms.
