Facility Details: Serving a population of approximately ~200,000, our service operates across two major sites located approximately 50 kilometers apart. Our Emergency Departments (ED) collectively handle an estimated 30,000 patient visits annually, catering to a diverse patient population. One site serves as the regional trauma center, with a 25% admission rate, while the other functions as a sub-acute hospital with a 15% admission rate. The ED holds accreditation from the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for 24 months of training, with an application for year 4 training currently under review.
Requirements: To apply, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
Registered with AHPRA with at least 12 months of recent experience
Enrolled in the ACEM training program
IMGs eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway from the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or NZ
IMGs with an ACEM interview date
IMGs assessed by ACEM and found to be substantially comparable
