Yarrabah is an indigenous community located 51 km from Cairns. Yarrabah Emergency Service provides 24 hours emergency and accident care only, however, to assist cultural requirements palliation of patients and returning for care often occurs.

Remuneration value $73 477 up to $91 783 p.a. (L18-L27) part time,employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., private practice arrangements,plus an Inaccessibility allowance of $21,400 per annum FT (category 2) 50% paid after 6 months completion period and 25% paid in 3 monthly instalments thereafter, applies to part time SMOs on a pro rata basis.
