What's on offer?
Fixed Term Temporary Part-time up to 30/06/2024 (with possibility of extension up to 30/06/2025), 30.4 hours per fortnight.

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $13,965 p.m., comprising base salary range of $70.99 - $74.07 p.h. (+ any other applicable allowances/benefits) (HP5), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). Please note: if no suitable candidates for appointment to HP5 Occupational Therapist - Advanced role, appointment may be made to HP4 Occupational Therapist - Senior position (HP4 wage rates will apply).

About the role
This opportunity is suited to a motivated clinician who possess a high level of experience in the areas of Vascular and Lymphoedema management to join our Occupational Therapy team at Townsville University Hospital.

The role is responsible for the provision and co-ordination of high-level clinical services for patients in the areas of Vascular and Lymphoedema management including providing professional leadership incorporating a focus on education, in addition to initiating and leading service improvement, research, and quality activities.  The role is also responsible for providing leadership, clinical advice and clinical practice supervision to HP3 and HP4 health practitioners within the Occupational Therapy Department.

You will be working in a supportive and friendly department where autonomy and innovation are highly valued, and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported.

Role requirements

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • This position is required to work on weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis through the Department's Weekend Service.
