About the role

The Enrolled Nurse role is upporting a registered nurse/registered midwife in the provision of person and family centred, quality, safe patient care specified by the standards of practice and registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). 

The NMRT Unit operates a seven day service, 24 hours a day.  NMRT Supports the WMHS organisational needs by providing quality, timely and excellent patient care across most clinical departments | wards of Ipswich Hospital.

The role of the NMRT cohort within the organisation is to provide day to day emergency leave replacement and short-term contract relief for clinical departments throughout Ipswich Hospital. This role requires a generalist Nursing skillset with knowledge of both medical and surgical nursing. 

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Contemporary clinical knowledge and specific experience or a passion to learn and work with specific patient groups
  • High level of communication skills and ability to escalate issues to a Registered Nurse.
  • Consistent delivery of a high level of services to patients, parents, caregivers and families, demonstrating rapport building skills, listening skills and empathy.
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver quality nursing care, whilst working within a risk management framework and in accordance with professional standards (eg. infection control, Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, Codes & Competency Standards & legislati
  • Respect for the unique and diverse needs of patients, families and people delivering quality, safe patient centred care.
