NHS Grampian are recruiting a Director of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) who shares our ambition and vision to deliver our Plan for the Future: Healthier Together and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that NHS Grampian continues to effectively serve our patients and support our staff. Main duties of the job. The Director of Allied Health Professionals will hold professional accountability for supporting the delivery of safe and high quality AHP care by enabling delivery of effective workload and workforce planning to have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time in response to the Health & Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act to ensure that at all times suitably qualified and competent individuals, from the range of AHP professional disciplines as necessary, are working in such numbers as are appropriate for the health, wellbeing and safety of patients, the provision of safe and high-quality health care, and in so far as it affects either of those matters, the wellbeing of staff. The Director of AHPs is professionally accountable for the leadership and clinical effectiveness of all AHPs across a wide variety of settings.

Providing effective professional leadership in ensuring that the AHP agenda is clearly part of decision making, service developments and contributes to both NHS Grampian and the three local Health & Social Care Partnership strategic objectives including quality initiatives and targets.
