General Outpatients currently have a Vacancy for Band 5 RN (34hpw).
Our working days are Mon-Frid, 0800-1800hrs. These hours would be worked over 4 days, with a day off in the week. You would be part of a small team of 5 Staff Nurses, whose daily work load includes running/setting up of Outpatient Clinics from Orthopaedics, Surgical, Medical & Vascular. Knowledge of Wounds, and Wound Dressing, Various Blood Tests including, Short Synacthen, JCV Testing, Quantiferons, and other Blood Tests. You would also assist with Patient examinations such as Rigid Sigmoidoscope & Proctoscope. You will work alongside a team of 14 HCSWs, preparing for and setting up daily clinics, Cleaning Schedules and Stock Control of Equipment. We are also involved in Training patients on procedures such as Migraine Injection Therapy through Neurology, Knowledge and experience would be advantageous, but training will be given on all aspects of Skills Required.
Evidence of Turas, Revalidation and active Learning and Development is essential.
