An exciting opportunity exists for the Senior Coordinator Asset Management will contribute to, as well as assist in; Sunshine Coast Health's approach to asset management ensuring the acquisition and life management of assets delivers the best value for money for the organisation in the provision of health services to the community by balancing the cost, risk and performance considerations as part of informed decision making.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Assist with the alignment between the financial and non-financial functions of both the SCHHS financial asset accounting and asset management systems to support informed decision making.
  • Assist with the whole of life cycle management of the HHS's assets. Asset Classes (typically building infrastructure as well as medical equipment) in accordance with industry best practice and based on a continuous improvement approach.
  • Assist with the planning, management and reporting of asset life cycle modelling, including componentisation, costings, risk tolerance, investment prioritisation and business cases.
  • Coordinate the development and management of documentation in relation to accreditation, regulatory compliance and asset management best practices, for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, in accordance with Commonwealth and State legislation, Australian Standards, Queensland Health policies and procedures 

Remuneration value up to $144 003 p.a., comprising salary between $117 824 - $126 212 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6).
