Remuneration package of up to $97,236 p.a., comprising base salary range of $80,308 - $85,223 p.a. (+ any other applicable allowances/benefits) (HW5), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

About the role

  • Provide a high level of culturally appropriate guidance and assistance in the assessment and treatment planning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receiving care from the North Ward Community Care Team.
  • As required, provide a high level of culturally appropriate guidance and assistance in the assessment and treatment planning for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people receiving care from other Mental Health Service Group Clinical Teams.
  • Provide cultural support, guidance and advocacy to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers/families/carers and other key stakeholders who may be involved with the person's care.

Role requirements

  • A Diploma in either: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island Primary Health Care, Mental Health or Alochol and Drugs.
  • Drivers Licence: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.  Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • Please note:Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to work with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
