About you: 

You have demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement flexible and responsive solutions to address identified issues. You are experienced in project management and the application of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to achieve fit for purpose outcomes on time, within scope, budget, and in accordance with quality management principles. You have proven, effective, high-level, written communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality documentation, accurate reports, and project communications.

Your opportunity: 

In this role, you will work closely with the CHHHS Director of Strategy and Planning and Innovative Project Lead Coordinator to provide project management expertise and support for the successful delivery of complex, high-risk, multi-disciplinary, innovative projects in Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS).  You will use your high level of interpersonal, analytical, and project management skills and experience to navigate the project lifecycle, delivering or supporting the delivery of projects in accordance with the agreed project parameters of success including scope, time, cost, and quality management principles. You will have a good understanding of the analysis and synthesis of health-related data to inform and support decision making.

Your role:

  • Manage, monitor, and deliver key projects, project priorities or project initiatives ensuring transparency of progress, regular status reporting, and early advice to the Innovative Project Lead Coordinator of any expected deviations from the plan and recommended corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of divisional projects, initiatives, and other information to provide high level visibility for the Innovative Project Lead Coordinator.
  • Ensure that projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and CHHHS's project management approach and methodologies, to facilitate consistent and quality deliverables by contributing to high level documents (such as business cases, work programs/project plans, briefs/reports, communications, data analysis, budgets, records, and registers).
  • Initiate, develop, influence, and maintain effective working relationships between key internal and external stakeholders to gain support and understanding of project benefits.
