About us:

The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements. The Education and Research Unit is led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research.

The Nurse Educators, Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Placement Coordinator, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, Transfusion Nurse and Librarians and Administration Officers report to the Nursing Director of Education. Nurse Educators in Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health have professional links with the Education and Research Unit.

About the role:

As the Administration Officer you will provide high level, quality administrative support service to the Education and Research Unit.

About you:

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, consultation, and a proven ability to maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and proactively to prioritise tasks in order to deliver outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and the ability to work efficiently in a self-directed manner to ensure the achievement of Unit goals.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $47,405 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
