Job Description:Senior CHC Retrospective Nurse Assessor:The post holder will work as part of the CHC Retrospective Review and Appeal Team and will be responsible for providing clinical expertise on reviewing both previously unassessed and assessed periods of care.The post holder will work closely with the appeals coordinator working remotely and autonomously gathering evidence and information to populate the assessment.The post holder will review CHC appeals and CHC retrospective review requests to ensure that the NHS Continuing Healthcare processes have been adhered and identify the responsible commissioner prior to commencing any dispute or retrospective review process.The post holder will be expected to produce comprehensive reports identifying a patient journey throughout the period of review.The post holder will be expected to have a good understanding of Continuing Health Care and high-level communication skills to Chair local resolution meetings with claimants and their representatives.The post holder will provide support to families/ representatives to improve their experiences.The post holder will play a key role in supporting the Continuing Healthcare serviceacross the BSOL region. Working within the remit of the National Framework for Continuing Healthcare and PUPoC Guidance.The post holder will deliver an effective and competent level of service and consistently deliver a client-focused service.To support the clinical lead in developing systems and processes for the delivery of retrospective NHS Continuing Healthcare policy.To work autonomously in managing a caseload of patients as directed and to accept case coordinator responsibilities.Contribute to the panel as a member or present cases to panel as appropriate. The post holder will make operational judgements and attempt to resolve conflicting views/ reconcile inter/intra professional differences of options.Note:If you are interested in this requirement please email me CVs and the daily rate no later than 12 noon on Friday 29th March 2024.
