This role is the perfect opportunity for a motivated clinician looking for a new challenge or progression in their career, who possess a high level of experience working within the acute medical environment.

This role works in a new service – Hospital to Home and provides high level clinical leadership for HP3 therapists, clinical assistants, students and cadets. This includes the provision of clinical supervision and education as well as the identification and implementation of quality improvement activities.

You will be working in a supportive and friendly department where autonomy and innovation are highly valued, and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities are encouraged and supported.

What we are looking for?:

Clinical Expertise - Demonstrated high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in Occupational Therapy services within an acute hospital setting.

Clinical Ability - Demonstrated ability to provide Occupational Therapy clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation, or modification.

Communication - Demonstrated ability to provide general clinical advice and education sessions to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities.

Leadership - Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement, quality, and research initiative. Provide clinical supervision, performance appraisal and education to subordinate personnel.

Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $124,435 to $133,901 p.a. (HP4)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • This position is required to work on weekends on a rostered basis through the Department's Weekend Service.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
