The Role
Join a high performing, supportive Women’s Unit on a full time basis as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist where you will work within a team of highly skilled and dedicated health professionals. You will provide exceptional leadership within a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and midwives, as well as providing supervision and support to doctors in training. 

The Location
Our client is situated on one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations with idyllic tropical islands on your door step and a relaxed way of life. This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 140,000. The local area has a well developed infrastructure and everything you would need and expect from a well developed regional city including great private schools, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful natural tropical surrounds.
 
The Hospital
The hospital has enjoyed a major renovation and expansion doubling the number of beds to over 250 and increasing the size by 40,000m2 including a new Emergency Department. This is now a state of the art fully modern hospital and one of Australia’s largest regional healthcare facilities.
 
The hospital is also accredited for training with a number of the colleges and provides the following specialist services to the local community: ED, O&G, Paeds, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, ICU, Coronary care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care and Day Surgery.

Requirements
  • Hold FRANZCOG qualification/ will be a fully qualified FRANZCOG in the coming months
  • Current registration with AHPRA/eligible for registration.
  • Have had your specialist training assessed by RANZCOG and have been found to be  'substantially' comparable.
