An opportunity has arisen within Ward B for a permanent Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse.
Ward B is an extremely busy acute medical ward, that comprises of 14 acute medical beds and 4 high dependency beds.
The Deputy Charge Nurse post is an integral role within the Unit and is essential for providing support for both the staff and the Charge Nurse. This is an excellent development opportunity.
In the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, the Deputy Charge Nurse leads, manages, develops and has responsibility for the nursing team in order to deliver high standards of care with the appropriate skills, using available resources effectively.
You will have robust clinical skills and knowledge, a commitment to life-long learning/teaching and an enthusiastic and innovative approach to service development.
Evidence of professional development is essential with experience of similar roles highly desirable.
You should be a certified ALS provider or committed to complete course.
You will be expected to produce a short presentation at interview (no longer than 10 minutes) – in a format of your choice – there will be intranet/email access, USB sticks must be NHS approved encrypted.
