The Role
We are seeking experienced Senior Medical Practitioners - Emergency Medicine to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team of clinicians providing comprehensive Emergency Medicine services to the patients of health campus. Our ED is a busy regional department seeing around 40,000 presentations a year. We have a broad case mix including a significant number of high acuity and trauma presentations as well as receiving interhospital transfers from throughout the Midwest Region.

The Location
Apart from the breathtaking turquoise water and white sandy beaches, this location boasts a vibrant café and restaurant culture. It is considered a "regional city", offering a cosmopolitan lifestyle with numerous modern bars and an exciting nightlife. You will always have plenty to keep you occupied, as the city features a thriving events and entertainment scene that continues to grow.
This area is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health across rural and remote Western Australia.

The Hospital
After undergoing a $73 million redevelopment, this hospital is on track to become state-of-the-art. It boasts 66 beds dedicated to acute medical, surgical, paediatric, and maternity patients and has a 24-hour Emergency Department. Additionally, it offers a variety of services such as ante-natal classes, lactation consulting, chemotherapy, renal dialysis, a hospital-at-home visiting service, asthma education, medical imaging, pathology, and same-day surgery.
The new hospital also introduced several services, including an inpatient rehabilitation unit and a day rehabilitation centre. Visiting specialists offer a broad range of surgical services to patients.

The Requirements

• Registered with AHPRA with Specialist Registration in Emergency Medicine.
• IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
• Specialist IMGs assessed by ACEM and found to be substantially comparable.
