We are looking to appoint Registered Nurses with post registration nursing experience.  A&E nursing experience is desirable but NOT essential. A newly qualified Nurse could also be considered for this role.

The Role

  • The Registered Nurse – Broadford Emergency Department provides unscheduled care across the Isle of Skye, primarily focused but not limited to the Broadford Emergency Department and may include supporting out of hours Primary Care services across the Skye.
  • The Registered Nurse will participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within a remote and rural unscheduled care setting.
  • This will include the delivery of emergency care and paediatrics.
  • The Registered Nurse will work as an individual with limited supervision and amongst a supportive multidisciplinary team of Rural Emergency Physicians and Advanced Paramedic and Nurse Practitioners.

Shift Patterns

  • 12 hour shifts across 7 days including nights and weekends

The successful candidate

You will be a Registered and experienced healthcare professional with a proven record of continuing professional development. Ideally in possession of Emergency Nursing experience.

You will be a team player, self-aware and ready to relocate and work amongst a remote and rural highland and islands community; and the multidisciplinary team that cares for it.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role within unscheduled care on the beautiful Island of Skye.
