About the Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing needs of the organisation are met, and their leaders are appropriately engaged in health safety and wellbeing.

  • Receive and respond to a range of Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters to support practical solutions and accountability frameworks.
  • Lead and/or participate in investigating incidents or allegations as directed and provide reports and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and ensure high quality risk management across a range of diverse health and community sector risks in accordance with defined processes and as directed.
  • Monitor and report on information management systems including safety inspections, health management, fire training, evacuation, hazardous materials and incident management.

Reporting into Manager, Safety Operations, this role will provide specialist advice and support for operational health, safety and wellbeing matters. This role will also support (and be supported by) both the Safety Operations team and the wider Health, Safety and Wellbeing teams.

The role supports safety operations across Metro South, including Bayside, Community and Oral Health (COH), Addiction and Mental Health Services (AMHS) and will be required to work at varying locations during the tenure of the temporary arrangement, dependent on the needs of the organisation.
