The role:  
 
In this role the successful candidate will coordinate and manage the timely response to internal and external correspondence from Digital Health Branch and wider           stakeholder correspondence requests.
  • Provide advice and expertise to support the coordination and delivery of OCCIO initiatives including the following:
    • Manage a small team of administrative professionals within the remit of this role.
    • Support the planning and delivery of initiatives in line with Queensland Health approved administration support including procurement, financial and project management approaches.
    • Undertake project management activities by supporting the development of formal project plans, budgets, gap analysis, scoping studies, technical requirements, and records/registers.
    • Prepare reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence as directed for senior departmental management and other internal stakeholders as required and ensure correspondence is managed in a professional and efficient manner for the team.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the OCCIO multidisciplinary team to assist with:
    • Testing, validation, enhancement, and defect activity within the integrated Electronic Medical Record
    • Ongoing documentation of business rules and data definitions
    • Delivering clinical network deliverables and initiatives
    • Administration support and engagement / consultation activities.
  • Work under limited supervision using a high level of initiative to resolve issues, deliver practical solutions and disseminate information which supports business outcomes.
    • Pursue professional development and learning opportunities, and contribute to professional knowledge, expertise, and skills.
    • Support the OCCIO executive team as required.
Are you right for this role?
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of high-quality customer service in a complex organisation/environment.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills and a high-level ability to apply contemporary leadership principles to develop and maintain effective relationships within both the OCCIO team and with external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience and knowledge to support small to medium scale projects, including the planning, scheduling and tracking of project activities and deliverables, utilising available project management tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and an ability to work unsupervised whilst coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing correspondence, including some or all of the following activities (gathering responses, proof-reading documentation, publishing documentation, providing input to development of documentation).
  • Proven experience in the use of computers and software packages (ie.MS Office, Visio, MS Project).
