Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with clinical leads and end users across Metro North Health to deliver the Digital Metro North Strategy 2018-32. The strategy aims to ultimately deliver an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North by 2032. Over the next five years, significant capital works are being undertaken, including hospital construction and refurbishment and the implementation of the ieMR Advanced solution across all Metro North facilities. Achieving the aims of the strategy requires a dedicated team with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains and the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver quality results.

Key knowledge and experience

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Apply advanced nursing informatics and clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to support the delivery of a high standard of consumer/person centred care utilising digital workflows
  • Respond appropriately to, and provide support and direction to manage, sudden alterations in the health status of the consumer/person using advanced nursing/midwifery assessment and intervention skills
  • Provide teaching to both consumers/persons and their families to facilitate learning and enable them to move towards independence
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and problem-solving relevant to the care of consumer/person within the ieMR SurgiNet/SAA Stream to facilitate the successful implementation of ieMR
