We are looking for a proactive individual to join our team as an Administration Officer, where you will play a key role in providing financial and human resource administrative support. Your responsibilities will include assisting with purchasing, asset management, and accounts payable processes, as well as assisting in human resource management activities such as maintaining systems, practices, and policies. Additionally, you will contribute to quality assurance efforts by assisting to ensure proper storage and ongoing management of electronic documentation. Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, the Tribunal's operational environment and its statutory role under the Mental Health Act 2016 is essential. About us
The Mental Health Review Tribunal, also known as the Tribunal, operates independently under the framework of the Mental Health Act 2016. Its main objective is to assess the involuntary status of individuals with mental illnesses or intellectual disabilities. This includes reviewing treatment authorities, forensic orders, treatment support orders, determining a person's trial fitness, and overseeing minors detained in high-security units. Additionally, the Tribunal handles applications for examination authorities, requests for regulated treatments, and approvals for patient transfers both into and out of Queensland. Furthermore, it handles a select number of appeals.
