About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate sound evidence-based clinical skills for an Assistant in Nursing, and the ability to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work well in a team, adhering to core values and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrate ability to use negotiation skills to avoid conflict and the ability to be aware of own emotions and the impact on others.
  • Demonstrate sound problem solving ability and the ability to escalate concerns to the relevant supervisor when required.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will be responsible for equipment management, distribution, cleaning, stock maintenance and other activities as required. Trouble shooting equipment issues at bedside, thereby potentially minimising unnecessary interruptions/delays in therapeutic treatment.

About your role:

  • Gather information about patient care needs by observing the patient and reporting to the registered nurse to assist the registered nurse to assess, plan and evaluate care.
  • Perform and report on outcomes of care delivery as delegated by the registered nurse/registered midwife.
  • Clearly communicates information to ensure clients and team members understand care tasks and outcomes.
  • Contribute to maintaining the healthcare environment ensuring that it is safe and secure for patients and staff.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife by assisting with the care of patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse/Midwife, and carry out tasks or directions given by a Registered Nurse/Midwife
