About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in plain radiography and fluoroscopy in a variety of clinical areas, with demonstrated ability to gain knowledge, and skill in specialty areas within Medical Imaging, in particular CT and Interventional.
  • Work cooperatively and collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team for the effective provision of patient care, promoting a team environment that values, encourages and supports differences with respect to the individual and the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and have the ability to adjust communication styles to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders, under the clinical practice supervision of more senior practitioners.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will participate in the shift and on call roster to deliver high quality general, emergency, mobile and theatre radiography. You will be looking to expand your skills and knowledge with a desire to branch out into specialty modalities and participate in CPD and other relevant service improvement activities.

About your role:

  • Use fixed and mobile imaging equipment in accordance with prescribed professional standards.
  • When satisfactory performance appraisal and development plans for foundation skills have been completed, be prepared to undertake training in more advanced imaging areas.
  • Provide input into the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the various medical imaging work areas.
  • Provide general clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery and equipment.
  • Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by actively pursuing professional development activities and learning opportunities.
